THE WHITE MEMORY OF NAHUALES, 2002

Chopo-www-b.jpg

The title THE WHITE MEMORY OF NAHUALES suggests images which are dalating themself from the memory as a landscape loses its forms under the cover of white snow. In the installation, sculptures are placed facing its photographic images, captured under the snow during their exposition beween 1993 and 2002 in the Castle of Olsztyn, Poland.

This installation played a mayor role in the one-man show in the CHOPO Contempoary Art Museum (Mexico City, 2002). This work was also shown in the one-man exhibition By Virtue of the Present in the Sculpture Garden (Xalapa, Mexico, 2003) and in a different configuration, in one-man show Nahuales in the Vizcains (Historic Center of Mexico City, 2004).
